Error establishing connection with system smart card components!

I have installed the SIM reader2 and the SIM manager and the program starts up fine but when I ckick on "Read From Card" I get this error. My device manager sees it fine.

Anyone?????

The smart card service is not running. Check out the troubleshooting section of this guide - how to install SIM Card Reader (http://www.dekart.com/support/howto/Howto-install-SIM-reader/).
