Hi, this is my first post.
I need to recovery deleted sms from sim card with SimCon.
This reader work with this software?

The software needs a PC/SC compliant card reader, if you have one - go ahead and give it a try.

Get a trial version of SIM Manager 2 (http://www.dekart.com/products/card_management/sim_manager/), and enable "Show deleted SMS" in the options menu.

HI and happy new year everyone.
This is my first post.
This is my problem:
I need to recovery deleted SMS from a sim card using SimCon. This sw running with a card reader PC-SC compliant. Can i buy Dekart Sim Card Reader and work with this software?

When i start Sim Manager, it display me message "Error try to comunication with card".
It's possible that my card reader uncompliant with PC-SC.
SimCon show me:"Compatible card reader not found".

The card reader is PC/SC compliant, so you can use it with other software that needs a PC/SC reader (ex: Simcon).

However, if I were in your shoes, I would use the SIM Manager 2 + SIM card reader offer (http://www.dekart.com/store/special_offers/sim_man2/). SIM Manager 2 allows you to recover deleted messages, among other things.

If you need a hi-tech overview of a SIM card and access everything on it, take a look at SIM Explorer, it is much more powerful than either of the programs mentioned in this discussion so far.

It could be that the reader you have is not PC/SC compliant. If you give me a name/model, I can take a look at it and tell you whether it is compliant or not.

There is also a chance that the smart card service is not running.

Right click on My computer, select Manage. The Computer Management Window will appear. Go to Services and Applications->Services. Find the service in the list.

The service is "started" and the card reader is unbranded and the driver supply by Prolific. After download SIm manager 2.1 trial version i run read sim but not display me.
Help me please.

I've seen such devices in the past; they are not PC/SC compliant; so this explains the problem.

There are alternative shipping methods.

You can receive the reader in 3..6 business days if you are in the USA, Canada, or in the EU. In the case of non-EU European states, that's ~14 business days.

So, it is possible to get it on ~Monday, but that depends on where you are geographically.

Note: perhaps you shoudl respond via a private message, in order not to expose too many details; this is a public forum.
