When I try to put in the license key there are only 25 spaces and about 35 characters? What am I doing wrong?

You already have a registration number, so there is no need to register it.

Registration is only necessary if you have a license number, i.e. one that has 25 characters; and then it is converted into a registration number - 38 characters long.
