I have a client that wishes to use a USB flash drive to logon to a Citrix server when he travels. The guest PC will not have the Citrix PN client installed. My hope is to have everything necessary on the flash drive.

Is this possible?

I have been trying to get your "Logon for Citrix ICA Client" product to work but so far it tells me that the Citrix client is not installed when I try to run it on the guest PC. I tried installing the Citrix client to the flash drive I: but I still get the message. I have been through your users manual, but it seems to be missing this peace.

Your help is appreicated.

This is possible, I've described the procedure here - portable Citrix ICA client (http://www.lazybit.com/index.php/2008/03/05/portable-citrix-ica-client-usb-disk?blog=2).

I have tried very hard to follow your instructions but so far I cannot get it to work. I still get error message

"Citrix ICA Client is not installed. Install it and try again.."

when I try to run the ICALogon.exe from the Flash USB drive.

I have a few questions / issues that if solved may help me.

#1. In step #7 Please specify the path to copy the Citrix folder to on the USB drive. If the USB drive is G: should it be "G:\Citrix" or "G:\Program Files\Citrix" or some other location?

#2. It appears that somehow we have to tell Dekart Logon for Citrix where to find the Citrix Client. If so how?

#3. In step #8 it is not clear. Should I do the intial product install to the flash drive or should I install it do drive c: and then do the secondary "Install_to_removable_device_(Advanced_Mode)" to the flash drive. I have done it both ways so far neither seem to work.

#4. I have two 16 Gig USB Flash Drives, One is new nothing on it the other has 10 Gigs free. When I try to perform the secondary "Install_to_removable_device_(Advanced_Mode)" It tells me there is not enough room. (same message from both drives) Therefore as a work around I have installed it to a Zip drive and then copied the Dekart folder to the flash drive with windows explorer.

#5. Step 10. I am unable to create new connections from a clean Windows Vista machine. I go to my Windows XP system were Program Neighborhood and Dekart Logon for Citrix both installed and it can see them. Be even if PN is installed to Drive C: in Vista Dekart Logon for Citrix cannot find the server connections.

I really need to get this working. I look forward to your response.

Currently I have testing your products. Could I get expidited tech support if I purchased the products.

Many Thanks,

The problem with not determining the free space correctly is known to us, and the current beta fixes it.

As for the original problem, I think it is a matter of having slightly different versions of the ICA Client; or the fact that the directory tree for the ICA Client is different (you placed it in another folder, so the path is not the same).

Here is a self-extracting archive that contains the version that is known to work correctly and was tested by us. The archive should be extracted to the root directory of the removable drive files.dekart.com/tools/ica32flash.ex_ (replace the underline with a 'e').

I downloaded and installed your Citrix Client. Still have two problems.

#1. Your version of the citrix client V9 will not work under Windows Vista.

#2. On a Windows XP Pro system I still get the message that the Citrix Client is not installed.

I must be doing something wrong. Can you give me more detailed instructions?

Can't answer #1 right now - we'll have to experiment with new versions first. As for #2, are you sure you have preserved the directory hierarchy on the removable disk?
