Do you have any plans about adding an sms management feature to your software?
Nowadays, it seems that the only program able to do this is SIMEdit... which does not even support diacritical marks.
That would make SIM Manager the best tool available out there!

Yes, it is in our plans.

According to our roadmap, SMS management will be added in the next release of SIM Manager (or in the release that follows the next release; i.e. 1.11 (current version = 1.09)).

When is the update launch?
Will it support long sms's? (divided sms's that are put together, each one is up to 150 characters, and in the beggining of each one there are "special" characters for the phone know how to put them together)
Will it support blinking sms's? (They also have "special" characters in the beggining, for Nokia phones make them blink entirely or some parts. It seems that they are an exploration of a Nokia bug!?)
Thank You,
Fabio Augusto

Long SMSes will be supported, but I cannot tell you anything about blinking messages.

I know what you mean, I've seen such an SMS when I had a Nokia phone. It is probably a special case which is interpreted differently by Nokia mobiles, so if such a message will be processed, it will only blink in a Nokia that 'supports' blinking; other phones will treat it like a regular message.

Either way, we will study the case and see whether this is a feature or a bug, and then figure out whether it can have harmful consequences.

As for the date of release, it is not yet scheduled. Although most of the new features are already functioning, the program needs major changes in the interface, and we are currently focused on other tasks, hence an approximate date of release is not available.

Will the sim management feature support the backing up of SMS data, including the dates and time that the messages were sent? I'm looking for a solution that does that, but I'm frustrated to find that most software doesn't save the dates.

Yes, SMS related details will be preserved too.
