Which files are missing?
How did you uninstall the application? (via add/remove, by manually deleting its files, etc)
Were there any error messages during the uninstallation process?

I still need to know what error messages are there.

Have you tried logging in via safe mode and uninstalling the application?

but this was prior to the boot after instalation
You mean that you've uninstalled it without rebooting the computer after the installation of the program?

It's tough to say what went wrong, since we don't know what the exact error is.

The fact that you are forced to log off even in safe mode makes me think that it is a problem at a lower level (not in Dekart Logon), because when Windows boots in safe mode, it does not load any 3rd party drivers or applications, so if the problem persists, it's not caused by Dekart Logon.
But this assumption cannot be absolutely correct, because I don't know all the facts about the problem.

Next time make sure that you reboot the system after the installation.

hi,

unfortunately I have the same problem . I tried the demo version 2.21 and prior to expiration I removed it through normal unistall.

since the next reboot the machine cannot start because the windows logon prompt still contains the Dekart logo and cannot load a dll (the name of which I think was dk_gina.dll or something) I tried everything to bypass it with no effect , so I restored my PC to the last working condition (where dekart logon is still installed) and now it is expired. the first thing it does is to ask for serial number and there is no option to bypass it. when pressing CANCEL you are stuck in the logon screen.

I was thinking to use the XP disk for repairing the system but I am not sure that it will work, especially now that I see in previous posting that it did not work.

re-installing is not an option for this system , so could you imagine a procedure to bypass the logon and completely remove it? I am still trying to acceess this sytem ....

according to the product design , what should be the behavior after expiration ? lock the system until the customer buy the product ? I hope not ....

Hi,

It is strange that the program hasn't successfully removed itself. Can you tell me if there were any anomalies while it was installed? (They could be related to the program not uninstalling itself properly)

Generally, the idea is that the user removes the program before they decide they don't wish to continue using it. No, we are not trying to force customers purchase the product; you can uninstall the program by logging in via safe mode, even after the period has expired. Moreover, in the next release, we plan to add an Uninstall button to the program's window until it is not registered.

The problem you are experiencing is of a different nature, as I wrote earlier, it must be caused by an external factor which interfered with the uninstallation process.

What has to be done now (note, if you are not familiar with editing the registry, let me know, and I'll give you more detailed instructions):

Log on via safe mode, typing your username and password
Start regedit.exe and remove the following item: ginadll, it is located in this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
Restart the computer

Note: do not delete the entire key, but only the specific value in that key.
