Hello,

I currently use PGP whole disk encryption for pre-boot authentication.

I am interested in also using Dekart Logon in conjunction with this. Is it possible to do so? Specifically with a PCMCIA card reader + smart card.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Troy

Since these programs work at different levels (Logon operates 'on top' of the encrypted disk), they are not related to each other, hence there should be no conflict between the applications.

Just make sure that your card reader is a PC/SC-compliant one, and that your smart card is supported (http://www.dekart.com/products/supported_devices/).

The card needs to be formatted (http://www.dekart.com/products/card_management/key_formatting_utilities/) before it can be used (this is not a 'classic' format, which erases all the contents of the card; it just creates the necessary files on it, leaving the other data intact).
