I have some questions...

Netlogin directory comes up on the computers that use Dekart Login, how can I stop this?

Dekart Login seem to not allow or disables numlock on bootup, how can I stop this?

Dekart login coming from screensaver sometime the pin field does not have focus. User must click the field and then type pin, what can I do about this?

I have tried this on 3 computers on 3 different domains with repeatable results...any clue about what I need to do to fix this.

- Are the computers you tested it on a part of a domain?

As far as I know, you can do this with the group policies, but I don't remember how exactly this is done. But take a look at this Microsoft knowledgebase article (How to enable the NUM LOCK key for the logon screen) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q154529/

First I am running XP Pro SP2...second each computer I tested was on a domain (3 different unconnected domains).

NETLOGON is a folder share that each domain computer has access to inorder to pass batch files and stuff...you can open it just by going to \\servername\netlogon (file://\\servername\netlogon)

Dekart logon not installed it does not open automaticly...if I install it it will popup right after login but once closed it wont come up on its on till you logoff and back on again.

The numlock thing cannot be fixed by global (tried) and on the other hand is why should I have to. Dekart logon uninstalled my numlock is on all the time. Installed it disables it at the login prompt.

Also....in some instatnces when the screensaver is active and you bring it off screensaver...you have to click in the PIN textbox to give the box focus before to start typing. If you don't, no pin is entered but the enter key still works but gives you a fail login. So it appears the dialog box/button has focus but the text box does not.

Please tell me what are the files located in that folder (their names and extensions). Does the folder happen to be empty?

Also, if you press Start\Run, and launch control userpasswords2, then go to advanced user management, pick a user and switch to the Profile tab, there is an option called Logon script. Is it empty? If not, what is it set to?


The other two issues (numlock and PIN focus), we've examined them, and solutions will be provided in the next release; I can notify you when the beta that fixes this is available, so that you could give it a try earlier.



Finally, there is one more thing we need, the logs created by the program. Please see this page http://www.dekart.com/howto/general/howto_create_log/, restart the system, let the \netlogon folder show up. Then send the logs to us via email, this will give us more details about the problem.
