hi, experts.

I have a physically damaged SIM card. The Starhub doesn't offere the replacement service for a pre-payed SIM card. But for some reason, I want to keep it.

So can I analyze the data structure and rebuild the content based on the digitals on the SIM's back? Then I can buy a new SIM and repalce the content with my old one.

(I have other SIM cards from the same company for samples.)

Thank you very much.

The objective is interesting, but I fail to see how it can be achieved in normal conditions.

You can use SIM Explorer (soon to be released), to backup the data of the card to which you have read access. But the problem is that a physically damaged card will not be read properly (or not at all).

Either way, even if it were physically intact, you would still not be able to recover its contents, because many areas of the SIM card cannot be accessed due to security restrictions. You can find out more details about it here: how to clone a SIM card (not) (http://www.lazybit.com/index.php/b/2006/02/15/how_to_clone_a_sim_card_not).
