If you take your time to get create an account on the forum, the messages will show up instantly.

Given that your top priority is to access the data, simply copy the images to the HDD and mount them from there.


Note: Private Disk Light won't be able to mount an image created by the non-Light version.


Now that you're stuck because the trial has expired, you can't do much except: reinstall the OS or access the data on another computer where the program wasn't yet installed.

As an alternative I can send you a test registration number that will extend the trial period and you'll be able to generate the logs for us.

that won't be needed thx alex. i reinstalled my oss and running the latest version of pvd now again but the problem remains. i was thinking i have 2 hdd's in raid0 could that be the issue?

No, whether they are RAIDed or not is not relevant, because Private Disk sees that image as if it were a regular file, it is not aware of the fact that underneath the file system you have RAID0.

okay, i bought my wife a new laptop today. also vista. tried installing pvd cleanlog like you said but the exact same thing happens on the other computer so it's got to be vista related right?

so to sum it all up :

- multiple *.dpd files burned on to dvd discs
- ntfs format
- everything mounts ok on multiple xp pc's but not on vista pc's
